They use 100% solid Mao species bamboo. The Mao bamboo species is mainly grown in China and they supply 80% of the world’s bamboo requirements. Greenboo use only FSC certified bamboo which is organically grown and over four years old to ensure the quality of their final product.
Greenboo bamboo is used mainly in exterior applications. It is a green, strong, renewable, sustainable and environmentally friendly product. They satisfy their customer’s needs with a unique design patent which has flexible dimensions in length, width and thickness.
Greenboo guarantee their product for ten years against de-lamination for a commercial project and fifteen years for residential projects. Greenboo bamboo AMP (anti-mold protection) has already solved high maintenance problems. It brings big benefits for the user to avoid mildew/mold from growing under different weather conditions. The anti-mold/rot chemical treatment meets SGS international standards.
Greenboo products are made using a laminated technology under hot pressure which give it a high resistance to warps and twisting. Greenboo bamboo is 38% harder than oak, 13% harder than maple. The structure meets the American standard ASTM D198.
Greenboo bamboo products have developed from decking into other items such as posts, dimension lumber, plank and panel; it is the ultimate and unique substitute for hardwood in harmony with nature.
The bamboo strips may be laminated into any thickness, width and length which is why they can supply a wide variety of product applications. For example, decking dimensions size 90mm-200mm in width and 1960mm-6000 in length; dimensional lumber – 35x90mm and 35x140mm.
